Penny the Pelican takes a ride

A big-billed, pouch-swinging, pedal-pushing pelican cruising the seaside on her coral bicycle.

A pelican riding a coral bicycle along the seaside A white pelican with a very long orange bill and a pink throat pouch sits on a bicycle saddle. One wing reaches forward to hold the handlebars, its orange webbed feet rest on the two pedals, and its folded wing and tail feathers are visible on its body. The bicycle has two spoked wheels, a connected coral frame, a saddle, handlebars and a pedal crank.

Look closely: one wing steers, both webbed feet pedal, and there’s a fish in the pouch for later. No pelicans were late for brunch.
